Check out this search engine that allows you earn "swagbucks" as you search. You redeem your swagbucks for prizes. I'm always curious about how things work and ask a it embarassing questions I would never ask a real human being. So why not earn something free for it? It takes a little while to accumulate enough points for a significant prize, but it is fun trying. There are also codes that you can enter to win additional swagbucks, offers that you can complete, polls to participate in, videos to watch, games to play...I use swagbucks to redeem them for Amazon.com giftcards.

If you go to Honest Tea's facebook page and like them, you'll then be able to print out a coupon for $1/1 Honest Tea. Often, these go on sale for $1 each making them free! You can print out two by pressing the back button after printing the first one. Coupons are limited so go get them!

Contacting Turkey Hill for coupons

It's always an iffy subject contacting manufacturers and asking them for coupons for their products, because you don't know what they are going to say, if they even do that.  I read other people's blogs about how they contacted Turkey Hill here and got loads of coupons, so I wanted to try it myself. On 7/18, three days agoemailed them and told them what my favorite ice cream was, and how I wish they could send me some coupons so I can enjoy it more often. Attached photo is what they sent me.

Not bad...From left to right, three $.35 off any half-gallon TH iced teas expiring 12/31/2013, one $.50 off TH 1.5 qt. ice cream expiring 12/31/2012, two $.50 off TH 1.5 qt. ice cream expiring 12/31/2012, and two $1.00 off of any TH product. These can mean free ice teas or pints of ice cream. And after the store doubles the $.50 and $.35, this means $1 ice cream tubs and $.30 ice teas! I hope ice cream goes on sale soon so I can use these and the Breyer's coupons! I think you should try this if you enjoy TH products, and don't forget to leave a nice comment!

Review of Crackle

Today, I bought Sally Hansen's Crackle nail polish and thought I'd review it since we are given so much incentive to try it.  I bought it in Vintage Violet and Snow Blast.  First, understand that it is an overcoat, so the result will depend on your base color.  Second, you have to apply it right. ONLY one coat.  It can be a thick coat but do not go over the nail area more than once.  If you do more than one coat, it will not crack.  Don't worry if you don't coat the entire nail, it is just an overcoat.  So what happens is as the nail polish dries, it splits apart to create a shattered look on the nail.  I tried Snow Blast over my lavender base coat, and I didn't like it (probably because I didn't know I only could use one coat, so it ended up looking like I had white out on my nails).  At some point in the future, I will try this again, maybe on my toes.  I wiped that off with nail polish remover, redid the lavender base coat, and tried the Violet.  

If you can see, my nails look like a purple speckled Easter egg. 

PROS:  Cool effect

CONS:  It dries quickly, creating globs of polish, kinda pricey at $6.99 each

VERDICT:  I think you should definitely try it.  I wouldn't buy them at $6.99 each though.  Try to get ahold of coupons and combine them with buy one get the other half off deals.  Or even getting ahold of one of these $3 or $2 coupons off of one at $6.99, it's still not a bad deal.

There is a new $.75/1 Breyer's Blast coupon on www.coupons.com .  It was under zip code 07039.  Excellent deal when Breyer's goes on sale for $1.99 and the coupon fully doubles to $1.50 making the tub only $.49! 

Sally Hansen's Crackle Nail Polish at Rite Aid

Today, I received an email from Rite Aid with a Rite Aid coupon for $2 off Sally Hansen Cosmetics.  I received the email because I signed up for an account with them for rebates and extra coupons from their Video Values program.  If you currently don't have an account with them, I highly suggest it.  All Video Value coupons are stackable with manufacturer coupons for extra savings.  Visit their website to sign up.  If you got the $3 off one Sally Hansen Crackle coupon, you can use both in their sale this week.  Rite Aid has a buy one get one half off sale on Sally Hansen cosmetics.  Here is my idea:

Buy one Sally Hansen Crackle at $6.99
Buy one Sally Hansen Nail Polish at $.99 (50% off of $1.99)
Use both coupons
Pay $2.98

The soonest one of these coupons expire is 7/23, so you could wait to see if Sally Hansen will put out manufacturer's coupons between now and then (which are combinable with these Rite Aid coupons), and hope Rite Aid will have another buy one get the other half off sale.  Or you can use them now.

RecycleBank

When I started my adventure on hunting down the deals, I would always see Recyclebank referenced, but had no clue as to what it was.  I just dismissed it with the thought of looking into it in the future.  A year later, I looked into it, and it is a really good resource.  The articles inform you of recycling, how to recycle, what to recycle, how and what to reuse, and I bet a lot of tidbits of information about sustainability you didn't know.  As you read and learn through quizzes and presentations, you earn points.  With these points, you can redeem them for items such as gift cards, coupons, and other things.  I encourage you to check it out.
